Keith in Boyzone

Before Boyzone:
Keith was once an architecture student, and when he was 18, he was a drummer for a band called The Burning Effigy and also for a covers band called Toledo Moon. His first job was finding lost balls on a golf driving range - but he's also been a barman, waiter, a sales assistant at Frawleys department store in Dublin, a sales assistant at Makullas (the same time as Stephen), and a doorman at various clubs.

Best Thing About Being In Boyzone:
"My favourite bit is being up on stage performing. You get appreciation from the crowd and it makes you feel like a wonderful person"

Shane on Keith:
"I've known Keith for about fourteen years and I always thought he was really cool because he was always so well turned out!"

Ronan on Keith:
"He's a guy with a big heart, which sometimes gets him into trouble. He's just a very soft, caring guy"

Stephen on Keith:
"He's funny, wild, friendly and exciting! He's a great spokesperson, he stands up for us"

Mikey on Keith:
"He has a big heart, he's good fun, but a bit troublesome..."

First Time Keith Realised He was Famous:
"It was at the first Point Depot gig we played in Dublin. We'd been playing gigs all over Ireland for a year and a half - small concerts, just in nightclubs and stuff, with only one or two hundred people in the audience. Then all of a sudden we'd sold out the Point Depot, we couldn't believe it!"

On Boyzone Fans:
"Once on my birthday fans came round to my house and held a surprise party and bought me lovely presents. That's when fans are really lovely! They used to come round to my mum's house and help her do the dishes too!"
