Before Boyzone:
Stephen has been acting and modelling since the age of 16. He made a brief appearance at the beginning of The Commitments and discovered his singing talents while doing karaoke at a Butlins holiday camp! His jobs before Boyzone include being a barman at Dublin's Olympia Theatre, and a sales assistant at Makullas clothes store, just off Dublin's Grafton Street.

"It was quite early on. I was in Dublin library and some girls came up to me and asked for my autograph. It was a really weird thing actually - it was really exciting. I must have written a whole essay on their pieces of paper!"

On Boyzone Fans:
"Our fans are brilliant - they're always there to meet us at the airport and hotels. I know we always say this but we really are grateful for their support. They don't go too far - because they've got too much respect."
